Well, no. That's not correct. Russia is not a hotbed of software piracy. Most of that piracy comes from the US and EU. By far.

Have a source for that comment? According to this site, https://www.nationmaster.com/country-info/stats/Crime/Software-piracy-rate, Russia is 38th at 73% piracy whereas the US is 20%, based on 2007 numbers.

This study, 2004, https://www.bsa.org/files/reports/IDC_GlobalPiracyStudy_2004.pdf, shows Russia in the top 20 and the US in the bottom 20 of countries who are pirating SW.

This more recent study appears to include more than just SW, like music/tv/movies and shows the US and Russia at the top of the list, https://dataprot.net/statistics/piracy-statistics/

So, I'm not sure your comment is entirely accurate.

lol, putin wanted trump to pull the USA out of NATO to make his invasion easier. Frankly, if Putin could convince trump to nuke his own country he would have done it and so would have trump if he could make money off it.

Russia seems to have brought a lot of attention to themselves if they want to be left alone. Putin has an inflated ego and perception that someone(?) wants Russia. No one wants Russia - it is a hot mess. The Russian people are not happy, unfortunately, they live very drab lives. They don't smile much and with these sanctions, they will smile even less. This is not about the Left or the Right, it is about something much larger, and if you cannot see that - you are in the minority. Peace.
