Russia is still swimming in new Intel and AMD chips thanks to sanction "workarounds"

This touches on a subject I have been struggling with in recent years. Absolutely everything I have to buy has shot up in price since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Food items that do not come from Ukraine. Electricity that is not produced in Ukraine. Car parts that are not made there. Things that do not have a single component produced there. Why? Clearly there is a pot of money being made without any effort apart from blaming the war in Ukraine. We are being played on a global scale.

We should be transitioning to "free" or "cheap" energy with all the new technologies, yet instead of everything going down in price, it only goes up.

Even people that have NO gas installation in their house, pay more for energy because of higher gas prices.

Only just recently we received a mail that gas transport delivery costs will go up by 20 bucks next year because we're not using as much gas anymore. So they tell you to use less as it costs more and because there's supposedly less to go around... and then they basically punish you for using less.

You save money by using less, and they will still find excuses to take that money out of your pocket one way or the other..

The West is growing hysterical about Russian oil. I would not be surprised to see Western ships trying to board Russian tankers. Russian media is talking about posting Spetnatz (Russian marines) on tankers and providing frigate escorts.

Where does a 1000lb bear go? Anywhere he wants.
Russian Marines are a joke, and Russia only goes where its allowed, remember these clowns keep loosing flagships to a country without a Navy. The Russian military is a paper tiger, its the threat of nuclear war that keeps them from being 100% decimated, and once the Golden Dome is working we can then proceed to wipe Russia from the surface of planet earth.

Iran issued a religious fatwa against nuclear weapons, that's why they don't have nukes.

Iran doesn't need nukes. If Israel bombs Iranian atomic energy facilities, then Iran will shut down all transit through the Persian Gulf. If the US intervenes, expect carriers to go down.

Sanctions are a face-saving device for the West. In reality they don't have much ability to change the behavior of modern industrialized nations.

Also, that's funny, Iran can't sink a speed boat let alone a US Carrier, they acted stupid and damaged a Cruiser in 1987, in retaliation we destroyed over half of their navy unopposed, well I mean they tried to oppose, but failed, if Iran actually damaged a US Carrier Iran would be eradicated as a military power, the US Navy would unleash hell and sink every Iranian ship and oil platform while also sending waves of Tomahawks at every Iranian airbase and port facility it wouldn't be pretty and Iran knows which is why they keep backing down.

And while the EU isnt buying russian oil nearly as much, their appetite for russian GAS has been ever growing and hit a record last year, despite the "sanctions" and "protests" and whatnot.
It's obviously difficult stopping all gas imports into an area the size of North America but we aim to stop importing gas from Russia by 2027. Sanctioned gas imports have been reduced by half but LNG isn't sanctioned and that has increased.

It would be good if Canada could get it's act together regards LNG exports as I think Europe would be a willing customer, at least in the short term. Many countries in Europe are pushing towards green energy anyway, the UK is aiming for 100% renewable energy by 2030 but others are aiming at 2050.

Again, some simply cannot wait to make everything political; moreover, they speculate about the future, based mainly upon their own politics, rather than anything else. :D
