Says I am connected but can't browse

I have just recently reformatted my computer and now when I try and go on the internet it says connected but nothing online works... Any help?

Although your question is too general to decide on the actual solution
Depending upon how recent it was re-installed, try having a look at:
UPDATED 8-step Viruses/Spyware/Malware Preliminary Removal Instructions

You also may want to confirm all your Drivers are up to date

You can also run IE Reset, that may help too
