I have a Schok Volt SV55 Android phone, I found hundreds of pictures on it that were NOT taken using it, but were taken with an iphone 4s & other iphones. Would like to transfer them to my HP Desktop . I have google & found none of their directions work . "
How do I transfer pictures from my Android phone to my HP computer?

First, connect your phone to a PC with a USB cable that can transfer files.
  1. Turn your phone on and unlock it. Your PC can't find the device if the device is locked.
  2. On your PC, select the Start button and then select Photos to open the Photos app.
  3. Select Import > From a connected device, then follow the instructions.

I've done so & it says its empty. It is not.

Well, I found a manual for it but no mention on how to download/transfer the pics & vids. I found out I can send them to myself but only 16 at a time, sucks. It has no SD card. Its a free phone I got from assurancewireless. Thanks, any help is still appreciated.

Just saw this thread. I'm a bit slow these days.
I have no problems transferring back and forth between my cellphone and my Windows 10 desktop.
Turn your cellphone on.
Make sure that Windows Explorer is not running.
Connect a USB cable from the desktop to the cellphone.
Start Windows Explorer. You should see an icon representing your cellphone on the desktop.

A file folder generally only reads as "empty" if you have the files you want to open set to the wrong type of file. In this case. make sure it's set to "all files". or more specifically set to jpeg. You do have to verify first, exactly in what format the phone natively stores images. It could be gif, jpeg, png. maybe others.

As an addition/alternative, you might try writing the image files to a USB drive first, then plugging that in to your desktop
