Solar-powered SUV drives 620 miles through Morocco's off-road terrain without recharging

At least 50% of the states in the US have as much sun as Morocco.

Geography class is a female dog.
I don't get it. Unless you mean getting up at 5AM to go draw blood from premature babies under a heat lamp is a female dog. Then I understand.

You're right. You've exemplified the Progressive mentality. It forces other people to do things against their will. It's justified by the belief that Progressives know better than everybody else. It's for the common good, for "progress', and follows 'the science'.

Yeah, the Regressive mentality is so much better. Back to living in caves, forget all that 'progress' and 'science', that's for wusses. Trust to god, yeah that always works LMAO

As a proof of concept I can only applaud this creation, it's not meant to be a production ready platform. Future development will take time, but the ideas and the tech, will in time mature into a design that hopefully someone will pick up on. We need as many engineers and scientists as we can get, to solve the problems we are now facing, so it can only be a good thing. Also it's good to see female engineers in on the mix...

I love my Bolt EV, it's "cheap enough" and I like it.
It is pretty efficient But does not charge during the day while I'm at work (not plugged in). I would for sure buy into this car for my short daily drive if the price is not 50k+. I was fine with my old Volt with 60mi ev range so if this has a 50mi (non solar) range plus WAY more on sunny days it sounds great for me!

Give it a few years and forbid the powerful oil lobby from undermining them and they will build it!!

PS: You have a turkey. But it's not gold.
The first solar powered car I ever saw was before 1970 before I graduated from high school. That's over 50 years ago. Someone should have done something by now if the technology was tenable.

Let's move everyone that thinks this is for them to Morocco, problem solved Earth saved
Morocco was chosen for a wide variety of test conditions, not sunshine… but as always you’re heavier on trolling than thoughtful commentary 🫣

You are the best. These kind of vehicles can't/won't fail with you trolling for them

Wasn't there a recent article about Bill Gates and our administration that wants to regulate the sun (partially block it) due to global warming? If I recall the article here had a meme pic of THE SIMPSONS Mr Burns sketch blocking the sun. These two categories can be a nightmare if you think about. It could mean more control.I doubt it will ever come true short term wise but you never know ha ha.
Sounds like something from the hoaxers outlets...

Do you really believe this trash? Seriously, accusing Gates of "regulating the sun"??

Do your brain a favor and stop reading such "scientific" articles from every trashy outlet....

He stated he wanted to do it. It was this site by the way.

That's one awesome achievement. In some states and countries blessed with lots of sun, this would a very appealing car to have (and where the funny excuse of ."bad weather such as snow, ice build up" is a non-issue).

Of course, there are people and their oil industry pals who would never accept the fact that such a car is acceptable and will find the lamest excuse to bad mouth it.
I have suspicions. AC, airbags, the rest of the systems that make driving a car easy and comfortably?
I think there is a high chance this car was lightened way beyond to consider it safe for an average driver on busy roads.
Is it not why they are testing it away from other cars too?
