Sony has removed Cyberpunk 2077 from the PlayStation Store 'until further notice'

Players that can stand the bugs/video issues generally have positive comments. Sounds like a great game to get next spring LOL.

#1 This game NEVER should have been cleared for the PS4.

#2 This game has been on the market for a week. You'd think they could have delisted it 5 days ago after the initial outrage?

#3 If they only allowed this game to show up for PS5 in the store, it might have helped reduce the outrage...but these morons went and printed up the PS4 disks - so they screwed themselves really, really bad.

#4 Short of you having a 2080Ti or better (3080 and up) and playing on an SSD, you really can't get the true experience of this game.

I personally ran it on a 2080Ti with 32GB of DDR4 on an SSD, and then ran it on my new 3090FTW3 with 64GB of DDR4 and the only real difference was the 3090 handled Psycho better and stayed cooler running it. The 2080Ti is capable but you must have an SSD and a lot of memory and VRAM to get the full effect of crowded streets and 4K textures. The 3070 and 3060Ti ain't gonna cut it either.

And this continues to reaffirm my belief in going big on VRAM. It's the reason the Titan, Titan XP, 2080Ti, 3080 and 3090 were so good... More memory truly helps even if the card is outdated by faster cards.
Vram does sell cards I guess so this bone headed argument about the titans and 2080 ti and 3080 are bad because there are cards with more vram from team red.

Agreed. Loaded the game up on my 8700k and 2070rtx and 32gig ram and 970 nvme. and had to lower the game to Medium to play to my standards. No way older Gen consoles can run properly.

I really don't understand all the hype over this game?

Especially when there are so many better games out there.

Maybe I am missing something?

But from the game play videos I have seen I still cannot understand why so many people are excited about it and think it's a great game?

Please explain and put me in the picture.

Yes but team Red does not have a dedicated encoder for streaming like Nvidia does and I think you will find this is far more important to streamers than extra ram as the NVENC encoder is far better than a software encoder which uses the CPU and creates more load on it.

I'd love to but to be honest I'm in the same boat. Graphics aren't as awesome as people are making out. Performance relative to the visuals is poor. AI is buggy as hell (both pedestrian, car and Magic Teleporting Cops). Side quests are often the same "Go Fetch, boy!" you've probably played 10,000x over before. The main plot is good, but then so was Deus Ex 20 years ago.

Right now I'm deciding between buying it for $20 in Spring 2022 (when it's actually finished), or just watching someone playthrough the 20hr Main Quest on Youtube now and saving my money. Either way, I openly laugh at the thought of paying $60 given it's current state right now. Aside from not being worth it, that sends completely the wrong message to the industry as a whole.

Yes I agree I might buy it one day and when it is on sale. But I have so many other games I need or want to play so it's really not on the priority list. I was more looking it from a streaming aspect and trying to get more followers more than anything.

Depends on your system spec, the software x264 encoder still better quality than Nvidia Encoder.
What kind of streaming software, background stuff, how many ram installed, how many video bitrates, frame targeting, constant or variable, bitrate audio encoding, bandwidth speed, and so on. it will affect system performance.

Nvenc =
1. Usable if your CPU doesn't enough cores
2. Trade-off is reducing and limit GPU performance
3. I see seems only capable fo 1080p, when you go on 2K or 4K especially AAA game streaming, that's GPU bound it's not smart
4. Ofc we can utilize 2 GPU, GPU 1 for encoding and GPU 2 for rendering but it pulls more power

X264 =
1. No GPU performance hit
2. Bad for dual and quad cores CPU w/o HT or SMT
3. Some games can utilize up to 4 Core 8 Thread. Hyperthreading or SMT like 6 core 12 thread, 8 Core 16 thread and so on help a lot

PS4 had the equivalent of a 280X!!! that's a mid tier gpu from 2013! That could barely run any AAA games from the last 2 years at 1080p low setting!!!
Its got the equivalent of the Radeon HD7850, so not even 270X.
Actually, according to TechSpot Trivia, you're all correct. Here's the explanation:
"There is no exact equivalent because Sony worked with AMD to produce a unique APU for the PlayStation 4 that contained a custom Radeon 7970M, which was itself a mobile variant of early 2011's desktop flagship HD 7970.
Compared to the desktop card, the 7970M ran 125MHz slower, had 12 less GCN cores, half the stream processors as well as less ROPS/texture units, while the PS4's custom GPU reduced those specs by another 50MHz, 2 GCN cores and other tweaks, not to mention that its RAM is shared between the GPU and CPU.
The full size HD 7970 had 3.79 GFLOPs of compute power, the 7970M dropped that to 2.17 GFLOPs, and the PS4's GPU cut that again to 1.76 GFLOPs, which is roughly on par with a (then) $250 desktop Radeon HD 7850.
For a more "recent" PC equivalent, you could take a look at the Radeon R9 280X which we revisited in 2018 and was compared against more modern GPU releases, in the ballpark of a GeForce GTX 1050 which is capable of reasonable 1080p gaming. Incidentally, the CPU inside the PS4's APU is comprised of two Jaguar-based quad-core processors (akin to somewhat rare AM1 Athlon SoCs)."

The PlayStation 4 is powered by a GPU that is roughly equal to what PC graphics card?
The HD 7850 is the correct multi-choice answer but with that explanation, it's all just a bunch of hair-splitting. :D

LOL, I know, eh? :D

We can hope, it never happens again 😂

This game mess is getting close to the mess that hit bioware, where the combination of mass effect andromeda then anthem effectively killed there brand too.

Well mass effect 3 started it but bad ending is different from bug filled game.
