Sound Problems ... Please Help

Hi -

I have no sound on my PC all of a sudden. My OS is Windows ME. I rebooted several times, checked all of the plugs (everything is in the right place), checked the volume controls for mute and everything is ok. Made sure that my device (santa cruz Montego II) is enabled and even tried to reinstalled santa cruz (with a message that states "unistall successful-even though I was installing it). No matter what I do - I can't seem to get it right! Please Help..

windows ME, eh? you have my sympathies. seriously though, ME is tragic and these events are not uncommon. odds are you've got driver corruption, if you can't uninstall/reinstall it or update the drivers.

Zephead... unistall ok... reinstall not ok... Everytime I try to re-install , it looks a if it is installing and then I get a message stating "unistall complete" go figure .... thanks...
