Spliting sound in Realtek HD audio manager

so i cant get my sound to split through the rear speakers, and when i test my speakers on the audio manager only the front two respond!
any suggestions on how to fix the problem?
i'm using xp as well

what audio codec do you use?

is it onboard sound or a PCI sound card?

how many sound outputs do you have on your onboard or PCI sound card?

make & model,how many channel formats?

we need some more informations & specifications as well

i was able to get the surround happening by putting the jacks into different spots.
but my realtec audio manager doesnt register them when i test them. but i think that can be fixed because when it asked me what line i've just plugged into i have the option of telling it then. its just a matter of letting realtec audio manager what i want the new outputs to be known as from now on.

ok,so you just need to re-task the outputs.

seems everything is fine as long as all of
your speakers fire up sound during music
playback.
