spyware infected system needs cleaning . . please help
My first on this site so fingers crossed and hope someone out there can give me some help / advice.
Well . . switched my PC on today and can't do the following :-
1, See my Taskbar
2, Select any link from email
3, Run or download any online virus detection tools (and I've tried about 10 of them)
4, Install or update any virus software.
5, Copy or paste links etc.
6, Disable auto re-direct of web pages in my browser
7, All sounds have been replaced with the PC's dull mono error tone
It would appear to the not so knowlegable (ie me) that I have picked up a virus and windows is preventing me from doing everything possible to remove it.
I have also tried Mcafee Stinger and all clean ?
I can still get net and email access but again its stopping select any links through those programs.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
