Star Wars: KoTOR 2 Minor Problem/Glitch

I have this strange thing going on in the game. When I press configure and scan my hardware, it tells me my graphics drivers are out of date so the game will not work. But after closing the config window, the game actually works, but performace is really horrible,coz it auto-sets the textures to high. I wanna know if this is can be fixed. Here's my system specs:

Pentium 4 HT 3.0 Ghz
120 GB Seagate Hard Disk Drive
ATI Radeon 9200SE
VIA Motherboard
Windows XP Professional SP2

I am saving to upgrade for an ATI Radeon X800 XT but it will take me abt 3-4 months more before I can buy it. Please can anyone tell me if this problem can get fixed.

I had the same problem, it was telling me my ATI card was a Nivida card. Updating the drivers seems to work, if it doesn’t work you can change all the settings manually after launching the game and they remain the same unless you use the auto configure tool again.

This game is notorious for hating ATI cards. Have you tried the patch?
