Something to look forward to: Sony recently confirmed that it will release a PC port of Shift Up Corporation's well-regarded Stellar Blade on June 11. The game's PC enhancements resemble Sony's in-house PC conversions, with improved graphics and performance. New content is also coming to the PC and PlayStation 5 versions.

The hack-and-slash action game, which debuted exclusively on PlayStation 5 last year, will support unlocked framerates, ultrawide aspect ratios (21:9 and 32:9), Nvidia Reflex, and optional 4K textures. DLSS 4 upscaling, multi-frame generation, DLAA, and FSR 3 upscaling are also included. Gamepad support enables haptic feedback and adaptive triggers when using the PlayStation DualSense controller over a USB connection.

When the PC version launches, both versions will receive 25 additional skins, a new boss challenge, and a new Chinese-language audio track with lip-sync support. While Japanese voice acting for the PS5 version was only available in Japan, PC users can access it globally, bringing Stellar Blade's total number of voice language options to an impressive 10.

Fortunately, the game doesn't require the latest top-end hardware to reach high resolutions and framerates. Older mainstream GPUs like the Nvidia GTX 1060, AMD Radeon RX 580, RTX 2060 Super, and RX 5700 XT can maintain 60fps at 1080p. Meanwhile, for attaining 60fps in native 4K with the "very high" graphics preset, Sony only recommends an RTX 3080 or RX 7900 XT, so modern mid-range cards like the 4070 Super or RX 9070 will likely perform well. Stellar Blade requires 16 GB of RAM and 75 GB of storage space.

Sony didn't mention handheld PC support, but the system requirements indicate that the game has a good chance of receiving Steam Deck verification, and the official Twitter account recently shared a Steam Deck gameplay clip. Unfortunately, Denuvo DRM is also included.

Stellar Blade launches on Steam and the Epic Games Store on June 11, unlocking at 6 PM ET. Pre-orders are now available starting at $59.99. The $79.99 complete edition includes extra skins and in-game currency.
