Swapping Vid Cards

Hey, I'm gonna upgrade from a 5600 Ultra to a 5700 today. Is there anything I have to do or can I just switch the card out and let the system do everything else?
Will my system automatically detect the new card or should I uninstall the drivers and reinstall them again?

If it were me I would uninstall the drivers and turn the computer off, and replace with the new card and boot up and all should be well. Just install your new drivers and it should be working ok.

assuming you're using the latest NVIDIA drivers anyway, just switch the card over when the machines off (OBVIOUSLY) Windows will pick up your new card, and using your already installed drivers, do the biz!

or... run setup.exe from your C:\NVIDIA\xx-xx2kXP\ or 9x folder

i went from a GeForce 2 to a FX5200, i kept the drivers and my system picked up the card and all was well.

why 5700?? the 5900non ultra is $30 more
