Tesla Cybertruck arrives with $60,990 starting price and 250-mile range

Well it has been a few days which should have allowed even those behind on their homework ample time to catch up on the actual facts of the matter so here we go.

The Cybertruck is the new blueprint for how all vehicles will be made going forward, whether that be because of the fact that it is the first vehicle to have an entirely 48V electrical system. Those with no electrotech education have some reading to do on this specific point, or you could simply track down a sample of the pdf that Tesla circulated to all other vehicle manufacturers about how to do this in the modern age as the entire rest of the industry had been dragging their heels on this advancement for over 3 decades. The fact that it is the first ever vehicle to have an entirely drive by wire interface for control inputs, allowing exceedingly easier and more effective packaging is another point that seems to have completely escaped the conversation in favor of the pressing matter of panel gaps.

Moving on there is the steering which enables a 6700lb fully offroad capable truck with hypercar levels of performance to be navigated as though it were no larger than a Mazda Miata with only 340 degrees of rotation lock to lock and up to 10 degrees of rear wheel steering to synthetically shorten the perceived wheelbase to something approaching that of a Golf GTI (Mark II of course as that was the last true GTI!). Hell Jason Camisa of Hagerty (formerly of every US motoring publication you've ever heard of) had veteran race/test driver Randy Pobst chase him around a go kart course to demonstrate the machines extreme maneuverability.

And there is the price and specs which has been hilariously and ridiculously misrepresented, remember folks the internet never forgets! We'll start with the entry level truck which was the only one ever to have a price suggested for it at ~40K USD, this model was never suggested to have a 500 mile range. The entry model was always suggested to have between 250 to 300 miles of range and any search will turn up exactly that result. Factor in unprecedented upticks in the cost of all goods due to world events over the last few years that couldn't have been predicted and you have an inflation increase in price between 8-12K USD depending on how you calculate pricing index which brings you up to ~50K USD which once you add on the federal tax credit of 7500USD (something that had always been talked about in terms of hitting the suggested pricing point) puts you within spitting distance of 61K USD. Not to mention the fact that there has never been a vehicle to garner anything like the public interest of the Cybertruck and you have an opportunity cost factored into the cost of around 4-6K USD (10% markup on any consumer good with this level of interest is a steal, just ask any sneaker head what they think is a reasonable over to pair on the new Jordans each year?) and hey just like that the pricing is right in line with the estimates of anyone paying attention to market trends.

Anyway I'll just leave it there as I don't expect the emotionally motivated to be swayed by facts figures or mathematics, long story short this is yet another example of Tesla beclowning the established players in the space that have proven incapable of reacting to change even when they're provided the solutions by the very company rendering them obsolete.

Why would China care so much about something that they would spend a massive amount of money paying off the world's politicians? China has a lot of money, but not that much. There are plenty of hybrids on the road in America, they just aren't halo products that people and the media lust after. Additionally, the Biden administration has applied sanctions on China's AI research limiting CPU and GPU technology, and it's the administration has been tasking experts with finding different sources of rare earth metals including domestic production to not rely on China. That sounds pretty anti-CCP to me.

Reducing our dependence on foreign oil is good, isn't it? Do you remember the two oil crises that hurt the American economy? It's not as if people are being forced to buy them in the US, they are just another choice and some of them are cheaper than other vehicles when the total cost of ownership is taken into account (gas price dependent). I prefer the convenience of gasoline powered vehicles along with their better handling, but I'm not going to tell people who want an EV they are wrong. Less demand should decrease the price of fuel. Let them buy an EV and hopefully we can spend less at the pump.
I think it is quite obviously why CCP would spend billions bribing Politicians and Leaders...
Secondly, Hybrid speak is not allowed and is heavily frowned upon by liberal media and news orgs, because all Electric Vehicles are all the Globalists (Davos crowd) want YOU to buy.... because being 100% reliant to the grid is what they want, control. Not what is best for the citizens or populace, but control. (see gas stoves)

Understand, there are no incentives, no reason to commercialize or market hybrids, bcz Hybrids that are not part of the grid and can use bio-flex-fuels, alcholhol, etc and so are NOT part of the globalist pseudo "carbon footprint" plan. We've seen during the Contract negotiation where the UAW itself presented very damning evidence to the Government's plan 10 year plan for EVs and showed how this ultra-progressive push for EVs is a lie, and through Contracts forced the "Big Three" to adjust their future spending on defunct EV over-promotion.

United State is 30 years away and when we do switch to EV for personal mobility, we will already have inter-state rail & mag-lev rails being designed and built across america for long distance travel, regardless.

No need to be ultra reliant on CCP/China or other "agendas" as unrecyclable EVs are a nearsighted goal pushed by Globalist to milk the populace. All public Transit should be EV for a decade, to showcase and work out the kinks in the infrastructure first, before the mandating any laws for EV for personal mobility.

All those who love EVs, should love Hybrids moAr. Hybrids use 66% less rare minerals, are much lighter and get way better mileage and do not require DC chargers or waste electricity and/or a wasted infrastructure.

Hybrids are win/win...
