The Ray Tracing Slideshow: DXR on Nvidia Pascal Tested

No they didn't and this is a different type of implementation of ray tracing. Everything we don't like is not a conspiracy against us.

Nvidia deliberately slowed down ray tracing for the GTX cards. Here's a CryTek demo that shows real-time ray tracing using AMD cards which also works on Nvidia cards without RT cores:

The video can technically be at 30FPS or lower for all we know.

GTX cards do RT on software level meanwhile RTX does it on hardware level.

SLI/cross fire setup would be highly infective even without the change to it in DirectX12 since it would be cost inefficient.

Why enable RT for gtx cards. So the cards can be compared on an even field. Since it's not fair if you compare the performance of a gtx without RT to a RTX with RT and not using it and then saying the rtx cards are not more powerful. Use RT on both and then we can see where the performance is. Claiming Nvidia is deliberately slowing RT on gtx is the same as saying that Nvidia is deliberately slowing down the 9th series of graphics cards
