The Ultimate 44 Used Graphics Card Pricing & Benchmark Guide

Great article steve,a lot of work there .er, time consuming.for a better term.
,power usage is not really relevant for any one that games a few hours per day as I do. ,running 24/7 .yes power usage then becomes a deciding factor.for sure.

Looks like you could be having a few givaways with that stack of Gpu's ,as I'm sure there are a few upgrades for a few of the readers in here. :p ,and you would be a nice guy in the process.

I personally would have like to see some SLI/CF configurations included .for a couple of reasons,
1/ to see how power consumed differs .
2/ to see how well scaling sits in more recent titles .and which titles actually do better in multi card configurations.
3/ the cost to performance ratio,is it more cost effective to upgrade or find a second same GPU .Especially with current prices..

Thanks for all that hard work, Steve. Great Article.

In my view, the GTX 670 looks like the overall king here. I may be a little biased, as I ran a pair in SLI for five years and they were beasts. I only upgraded recently to a 1080 Ti because I needed more Vram for my monitor upgrade path, and of course, SLI has its flaws.

Many of the aftermarket 670s overclock quite nicely. My Gigabyte 670 Windforce editions (which retailed for the same price as stock 670s) were basically tied with stock 680s after a simple OC. Even the reviews of it back in the day stated that it made no sense to spend the extra $100 on a 680, as their performance was so close.

It just doesn't make much sense to me to buy a 570 unless you're really broke, when it can't even average 50fps, let alone 60.

The 280X in crossfire is formidable if you have the juice for it. I know if you spend that much... But if you own one getting a second might be good don't forget multi GPU is supported in DirectX and Vulcan now so even though XFIRE a SLI aren't there may still be a reason to have a second of any card. AMD also has Frame Rate Limiting that can cut back on power demand where high FPS is not needed.

Still using my GTX 560 in my AMD Phenom II X720 Black Edition (with 4th core unlocked). Yeah, it doesn't run many modern games (if any) but I'm still trying to play all my older games that still DO run it.

Luckily, Fortnite is so well optimized that I can run it on my machine at 1920x1080 with mostly High settings and one Elite (turning off shadows and vsync helps and I don't see any tearing). So, I guess I can play ONE modern game just fine. lol
