Yesterday i came to the conclusion of Low Level Formating my External Hard Drive. I used program simply called: Low Level Format, everything was going smoothly but suddendly i noticed that the program had crashed and my whole comp was stuck. I rebooted and i was ready to do it all again but Da-daa, the Hard drive was not showing up, i thought, Disk Managment ill just check it from there but no-luck, it was not showing up there either but i could see it with TestDisk and from Windows Device Manager. TestDisk shows it has no file system and ive had no luck recovering one with TestDisk. Im kinda out of my own ideas.
Any help?

Where did you get the idea that a low-level format is a good thing? Or that it is even doable on an external hard drive?

Ayway, try booting a CD Linux like Knoppix and partitioning/formatting the drive there. Alternatively, take the drive out of its enclosure and connect it directly to your motherboard.
