In addition to this great response, right is defined by conservatism and natural human order (ie, family, traditions, religious freedom) and the left by progressivism which really just means to break with natural human orders as they are "social constructs" to try to achieve a lofty goal of equity, which they don't even know what that means themselves because it can't really exist in reality

Ah yes, many leftists rail on the delusional ramblings of Marx. Marx believed you could abolish the state and rules in the long run, once we were all living in one big happy family of equality or some bullsh*t (it’s been a long time since I read it).

The problem is it’s absolute tosh. Marx stories are more of a fantasy tale than Lord of the rings! If you look at actual real socialist and communist governments around the world they tend to be heavily authoritarian. The problem is that left wing ideology relies on everyone working together, if someone or rather a minority do not agree the left won’t even blink before using the authority of the state to bring people in line. Leftism would be great if everyone wanted it. But they don’t.

I don't see how one could argue that social media has been anything but incredibly successful, or that it has not had a profound impact on society. And while I personally feel that it is a huge net negative, that was not the point I was making.

That said, I do enjoy seeing the right wing persecution complex in effect. Any platform that has even the most minimal standards for decorum, such as not allowing the posting of threats, flagrant lies, or insults to groups of people for things they were born with and have no control over, is pretty much automatically called hostile to people on the right. Hey, if your opinions can't be expressed without breaking their platform rules, maybe it's just time to find another platform. Or maybe, just maybe, reconsider them altogether (as if..).

And as long as people continue to whine loudly about SJW, wokeness, critical race theory, cancel culture and other such non-issues, I think we're actually doing pretty okay. Let's be thankful they don't seem to have any real problems.

If Facebook and Twitter were controlled by right wingers we would be seeing attempts from the left to nationalise it through central government like they try to nationalise everything else. Right now a small group of private billionaires own and control the digital public town square so to speak. We have no rights on Facebook, if you run a business on there and the algorithm bans you because you posted something that the platform disagrees with, you have no legal recourse. Of course Left wingers are fine with all this apparently because those billionaires are actively pushing out dissenting voices to their ideology. They are also fine with social media tycoons employing psychological engagement tactics to keep people hooked, they didn’t even oppose Facebooks plans for a kids version of these apps.

Imagine if healthcare in the USA was controlled by a small group of extremely wealthy private companies? The left wouldn’t have the slightest problem with that. Oh wait…

Persecution complex? I mean Smith Wesson is a very successful guns company. The CEO Mark P Smith is apparently a proud Republican. Should “right wingers” be proud of this? I don’t think so. Just like I don’t think that “left wingers” should be proud of Jack Dorsey and Mark Zuckerberg whom have both donated to the democrats in the USA (an extremely biased thing to do given the circumstances). But this is your position, apparently running a social media company is a position of integrity? Really?

As a centre-right person, woke culture is exactly where it needs to be. In the spotlight, being criticised. It’s just the growing pains of human society moving into the digital age. It won’t last, we will not be incarcerated for uttering the wrong pronouns nor will we ever get rid of existing social constructs that we have developed over the last few thousand years.

Your lack of awareness as to the reality of what is going on in culture and with our freedoms is quite alarming. You sound like a CNN anchor to be honest. The thing is truth matters and the media you are parroting is doing everything it can to suppress truth. Case in point, "let's go Brandon" started because a news anchor very clearly misrepresented what the audience was chanting. The governor of VA clearly lost over the issues you say are not real problems, yet every single county in VA shifted toward Republicans in an extremely high turn-out election in a state that Biden won by double digit margins. People do care about these issues so you can go on ignoring them if you'd like, but I'm fairly sure a lot of people are waking up to this political nonsense.
