Ubisoft plans 10 games for Natal, 4-5 for PS3 Motion Controller

Project Natal looks really cool. Street Fighter could then me marketed as a fighting game, and a workout program :p.

I would have expected that a few companies added up would offer that number of games, but since its only ubisoft.. i think they are overreaching, its better to have 2-3 good games than 15 mediocre ones..

The trend towards "casual gaming" is disturbing, to say the least. Companies have discovered that they make far more money with less effort by making causal games, and the amount of quality games is slowly declining in favor of XBLA and Popcap and the like.

I may get a Natal thinger to see if I can make it work with my computer. MS got Johnny Woo on that project, and after seeing what he did with the Wiimote, I've got my fingers crossed that he's slipping in some PC-friendly design.

really looking forward for motion sensing games.. hopefully its not like Wii sports or mario =P

I'm looking forward to Natal. It would be awesome if someone can find a way to get Natal working on the PC. If not, I might just have to invest in a 360 (which would be my first console since the GameCube). The PS3 motion controls just remind me of the Wii.

Kind of disappointed that these are just going to be casual games again. I'd like to see something like a FPS or RPG adapted to motion sensing controls.

I have always been a fan of ubisoft games. I trust the games they are releasing are going to be pretty good. Natal looks interesting. I am looking forward to seeing where this goes.

is it just me or does anyone else notice the horrendous lag between the persons ACTIONS and the game in Natal. There seems to be a half a second of delay between the two interactions. Obviously this won't matter for casual gaming but this spells disaster for Racing, FPS, fighting, or other extremely sensitive types of games that require pinpoint accuracy. Has this lag been fixed in the latest build?

I'm glad to see a focus on trying to make games more immersive and not just prettier graphics. Motion control along with 3d gaming or Eyefinity could make for a pretty killer gaming experience.

Ubisoft is permanently banned at my home. I think Far cry ( the first) was the only ubi game i ever finished. (than you crytek)

btw, people read between the lines.. about the 10 games...ubi is just going to port all the pez, gatz, dogz, and monkeyz garbage ... not a good sight, trust me.

Natal is a very interesting product which I am very much looking forward to. It holds much promise and it is quite innovative (and from Microsoft...who knew?). This could finally give the measure of immersion that the Wii is lacking. I guess we will have to wait and see.

I imagine a lot of companies are just going to throw together a bunch of games to support the new hardware just to get people to buy something to use with the new systems. A lot of Wii games just have added on motion sensing and in a lot of games it just doesn't make sense to have it tacked on. I do hope Ubisoft doesn't just release a bunch of crap.

Natal does look both interesting and innovative (which is a little unusual for Microsoft). The application of Natal covers everything from a more immersive gaming experience, to creativity tools and you can even control your home theater with it. I am looking forward to seeing what the first crop of games for it will be.
