So much BS from you. All you have to do is look outside and see that everything has changed. Seasons are severely out of wack for over a decade now. In Europe I think this winter we had over 20 degrees C in mid December/January (when we should have had snow) and it was unusually cold mid freaking May. Slowly but surely the seasons have shifted a month or two and we have much more extreme weather patterns.

In Romania on the 2nd of Jan we've had the hottest January day ever recorded 21.3 C.

We don't need to "double" CO2 emissions. You also seem to have sever lack of understand how these numbers work and why they were set by scientists.

2 degrees ins't the "fear" limit. (the words used by you just shows that you are actually anti climate change) After a certain point a feedback loop starts where even if we lower emissions the damage is irreversible and will actually increase on its own.

You also don't seem to understand the timescale. We aren't talking about a 4-5 years. All climate change scientists talk about the effects by the end of the century. Short term variances happen with or without climate change, but long term effects are devastating and it can be measured.

Fossil fuels have been one of the largest factors in increasing human prosperity and standard of living. Life as we know it would not exist without the use of fossil fuels. That's a fact. Cheap energy has done more to drive people out of abject poverty than anything else.

I agree that we should invest in renewable energy sources but the vilification of fossil fuels is just a political ploy to gain more control. Climate change is real. The extent of it's negative effects are greatly exaggerated and the doomsday prognosticators never consider the mitigating benefits of warming such as decreased mortality from cold (cold still kills more people than heat), increased global greening of semi-arid regions, and increased agricultural activity in many regions.
