Upgrade question Presario 5000

I have a 4 year old Compaq Presario 5000 with a 600 celeron processor. Does anybody know what is the largest processor I can get for this board to upgrade it without a new mobo?

I thought those models all came with an Athlon 1.1Ghz

No, I've seen them with 600 celerons, 700 celerons,766 celerons,1.3 celerons, 700, 750, 850 durons, 900 athlons, 733 p3, and more. There were many different combinations available. Just look on ebay and search compaq presario 5000 and you;ll see alot of them there.

You may be lucky to still get a faster processor for such an old board.
Is it really worth it to upgrade that 'oldie'?
