USB 2.0 Camera

couple the camera to the PC, power-up and I get

"cannot get device information"​

Camera/PC were ok and I've uploaded ~1500 snapshots previously.
Now I can't upload squat!

Camera is fine as it will upload to my Mac just fine.

did all the usuall stuff;

updated USB DRIVER,
uninstalled the DRIVER, rebooted with camera attached and active to auto install,
updated (actually repaired) the EasyShare software from Kodak​

Guess the next step is to save all the pictures, uninstall EasyShare and
reinstall

boy this shure STINKS! In the words of the Venezuelan President

Goofy solution for EasyShare USB problems

freekie! the file

"C:\Program Files\Kodak\Kodak EasyShare software\ReadMeCamera.htm"​

will tell you, for Win/XP users
"Use Control->Add Remove"
use the Modify radio button
and then REMOVE THE KODAK CONNECTION SOFTWARE

the problem occurs due to Software Update from
Easyshare Version X to Version X+1
