Using Onboard graphics card along with 4850

Hi All,

Is it possible to switch from onboard graphics and 4850. Now I am using Intel 945GCC motherboard and having HD4850 graphics card. I want to use 4850 while playing games and onboard graphics card for regular usage, So that I can save some power.

No, and the power requirement for the 4850 isnt taxing anyway.

Doesn't the HD 4850 turn the core clock down when in 2D mode anyways? My HD 3850 does and I had to flash the BIOS to make it not do that. If you want to save power and the HD 4850 doesn't downscale the core clock in 2D, then you might want to flash the BIOS yourself with Radeon BIOS Editor. The HD 4850 only sucks power when crunching polygons, so you shouldn't worry about it when just surfing the net or using Windows normally.
