Im just listing the games I actually played. But seriously, Square should ditch Enix and go back to the days they made good games -_-

I hardly feel it is possible to list ME3 as a "worst" sequel. As lackluster as the ending was, 95% of that game was still incredible, and damning the whole game based on the last hour strikes me as immature and unfair. Duke Nukem Forever is a good choice for worst, as is Invisible War, and ME2 and Diablo 2 are good "bests".

Its not immature and unfair. Theres no point in playing an RPG no matter how fun the first parts are if the decisions you make in it dont even matter.

Lets be honest; they're video games, and you're not really accomplishing anything by playing them, period. Mass Effect 3 was very enjoyable, emotionally moving, and a great story, it just ended a bit poorly. That does not invalidate the rest of the game; you can derive enjoyment from the journey even if you didn't like the destination, and throwing ME3 in with the likes of Duke Nukem Forever because you didn't like the ending strikes of throwing a tantrum.

ah, yes, mass effect, the "aRPG", I don't know if we play the same game, but let me list something:
Inventory system...null.
Fetch quest instead of secundary quest.
Quest Manager.....almost null.
You don't interect with anyone to get or delivery the fetch quest.
"Skill Tree" is pretty, but have no comparition to ME1.

And the final, is just one BIG error, because it's make a lot of mistake (plotholes, caracter out of caracters, etc).

"It's strike me as immature and unfair" that the average Joe doesn't even see the problems that the game have, you can even replace Mass Effect to Gears of Wars, and not many will see the diference.

I had planned to play ME3 only once through, and if nobody told me that the endings are the same no matter what you do, I wouldn't have known. And so, I didn't care. The storyline was enjoyable and that was all that mattered to me. To say it was one of the best sequels would be stretching it though.

Best: Diablo2, LFD2, SC2 (and BW), Hitman series (haven't played blood money. Might pick it up since its really cheap this weekend)
Worst: Duke Nukem Forever wins that hands down. I'm assuming for the sake of this thread, we're asking what comes second.... Diablo3 was a huge letdown. Red Alert 4 (or is it 3?), BF3 (but could just be me).

Being mostly a FPS fan I would say

Best: Battlefield 3

Worst : Farcry 2
(how could they come up with such monotonous game play after the wild excitement of original Farcry. Developed by a different studio isn't an excuse for a franchise)

Worst : Lotus Turbo Challenge II on Amiga. A game where you could almost do well by sticking down the fire button for accelerate and going to sleep due to the change in "crash" mechanics. Hitting the edge of the road just slowed you down slightly. - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kes7RQFnzk4

- Crysis 2 (anyone who thinks different obviously never played the original, this game should have been called "Crysis: New York" and put on consoles only).

Dissapointing - Games that are not bad but didn't live up the expectation
- Call of Duty ModernWare 2
- Doom 3
- Halo 3
- Gears of War 2-3
- Unreal Tournament III (although Patches made it much better)
I know of others but can't think of them at the moment

Games that should be made:
- Time Splitters 4
- Star Wars Battlefront 3
- World of Warcraft 2 (debatable if this even needs to be made but I would love to see what Blizzard would do to "up there game")
- Crysis 2 (A proper sequel, So it picks up where the original left off, and make it PC only, up the graphics massively and put proper effort into the story mode to the same quality as the first one)
- Half-Life 3 / Episode 3 (we keep being told its in the works but nothing materially has appeared ever)

Games that don't need to be released/made:
- Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (I've got the beta and its really not necessary, they should stop development (I don't know what its like on console though) and concentrate on a proper sequel)
- Halo 4 (its ended now, please leave the franchise how it is, I mean, it went out with a bang, don't ruin that)

We must be playing different games, but Battlefield 3 is far away from being on the Best list!

Bugs, cheats, crashes, etc.. are placing this game on my **** list... and I am not even counting the premium account that greedy EA introduced...

As of the latest patch, I'm yet to have a single crash, and I played all weekend since it was a double XP weekend, I ran into one person who was cheating that was banned promptly, and Bugs? sure there is the odd graphical hiccup and when someone lags out there bullets continue to fly slowly but thats about it?

Have you even played it recently?

Dragon age 2, ya this was fun but bad at the same time storywise.
mass effect 3, why? because not a single damn desicion you made in past games was reflected in any significant way in what was to be the climax of the series. they made bs one liner excusses just to say oh nomatter waht there is another rakni queen, even though I clearly killed the last 1, in me1. where was my krogan party member, I refuse to play mass effect games without a krogan. its like playing skyrim without dynosaurs where were my damn dynosaurs? next mass effect I expect a krogan! ps as well as in skyrim!
halo- odst (wtf did I play)

best- pokemon yellow. halo 2, halo reach. skyrim, wrath of the lich king, witcher 2, forza 4, mass effect 2, (because it had a krogan) forza 5 (because it will have krogen drivers.) Halo 5 (because it has krogan master chief) Dragon age 3 (because the Krogen invade thaedas (however u spell it))

Though the rest of the planet might disagree, this version was designed by their marketing team, if you get my drift. In other words, they were concerned with all the wrong things and touted them as "we know best". And it shows.

Best: AVP2 Primal Hunt

The most fun I have ever had in a game .
