The last game I replayed was The Secret of Monkey Island, when the special edition came out. I'm not sure that completely counts, but it was the same game, even if the graphics were different. Other games I remember replaying are Neverwinter Nights and Planescape: Torment. Though these days I'm most likely to not even play a game for more than 20 minutes, so I'm trying not to replay.

As for HoMM3, I vowed never to go back to it, because it's too addictive. I try not to play any strategy games these days, because I find them very time consuming.

GTA San Andreas is probably my favorite "replay" game.

I've recently acquired an original Mario RPG cart. One of my favorite games I didn't get to play much when I was younger. Was very fun to wrap.
I've now started playing Mario 64 on an original system. I haven't been able to get all 120 stars before, but I hope to this time.
I've also started a game of Zelda:a Link to the Past on the original system. I've wrapped it a few times when I was real young, figured I'd try it again.
Next will be Final Fantasy III on the Snes, when I finish Mario 64 and Zelda.

For me replays are about nostalgia. Honestly though, I've only replayed to games: Duke Nukem and Zelda for NES. It was so long since the last time I played them, it was almost like the first time. Really enjoyed them.
  6. First re-playable was Quake 2. Sweet sounds great gameplay.
Then Jedi Knight 2. Loved that saber sound.
Nowadays, Bioshock 1 and 2 many many times. Far Cry, lost count, Far cry 2, 4 or 5 times.
FEAR 2, 5 or more times.
Call of Duty 2 is great again and again. Can:t say the same for the last few.
The ultimate re-playable for me is GTA 3, played it so much I can nearly do a stage play of it with no script. Vice City and San Andreas were great too.
  7. I forgot to add my second favourites(only just second to GTA 3); Half Life series
  8. Once a year I bust out the original xbox and go to town on the splinter cell saga, gotta say those are still the best games I have ever played, Unfortunately I cannot say the same for conviction it really disappointed me I remember reading about the development of that game after the 360 was released and then having to wait all these years for the release just to find out that it fell very far from the tree compared to double agent really disappointed me, I honestly thought they were going to make the game style exactly the same as double agent however as I said it fell very far from the tree, still a great storyline to it though.
  9. Keep replaying Counter-Strike G O even tho I played all maps over a 100 times already :)))

Mirror's Edge - I think it's an incredibly underrated game. It's beautiful and doesn't promote a bunch of senseless violence. You can go through the game without using a gun even once and the movement gives you a real sense of immersion. I've found myself ducking my head in real life when I was getting shot at in the game.

I struggle to finish single player games anymore as im such a multiplayer junkie so will usually be on something like the latest Battlefield game. I do however go back and play the odd game here and there..

Final Fantasy 7 / 9 / 12 - just so many fond memories from these games, they're timless classics in my eyes.

Total Annihilation / Supreme Commander 1 - in my opinion the best strategy games ever created, am yet to play one that comes close to being as good.

Raptor Call of the Shadows - this is pretty old school but still dead fun.. have it on my iphone to play on my commute

There's others here and there but I find that I don't have as much time for gaming between job/uni/gym/playing guitar etc etc.
  20. The original FarCry, epic for its time unlike the cross-platform diluted sequel.

I'm incredibly fond of "Castlevania: Symphony of the Night," as well as "The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past." I have played both of these games countless times. I've played through StarCraft, Brood War, and Wings of Liberty multiple times. Many of the classic Gameboy games like Six Gold Coins, Super Mario Land, and Ninja Gaiden: Shadow I have played through many times as well. And let's not forget the original Donkey Kong Country for the SNES, as well as Super Mario World for that platform.

Most of my replays are for the sake of nostalgia from when I was younger, or because the story-line was so good, gameplay was so good, or because the story-line forked and I wanted to see all possible outcomes.
  22. Continuing to play Quake 4 multiplayer, fast & frantic game-play, there's no ceiling to how good you can become.

Oh would also like to add to my list Dante's Inferno on the PS3. Keep going back to it. Love the visuals/artistic direction of that game, and the gameplay is super fun (and a good challenge on hard mode too)

I don't know how many times I have replayed through Diablo 2. I can say without a doubt I have more hours logged on that game then any other game for the PC.
Why? Had a lot of friends that played it and I loved trying to always find better gear and get your guy decked out.

I have put in many hours on a lot of fighting games too. I don't know if I can call it replaying, as they are all vs matches :p. But several of the Street Fighters (Most Alpha 3 & and #4 for the PS3), Super Smash (64,GC & Wii), SNK vs Capcom 2, several of the Guilty Gear games(Mostly X & X2), several of the Naruto games, and most recently Skull Girls :p.
Why?Best friend and I like the "Street Fighter Style" fighting games (ei, not all pre-programed combos like the Mortal Kombats). You don't have to dump a lot of time in them, and are fun to play casually. Matches are quick so if you have more people than controllers its easy to cycle through everyone.

Also same story with shooting games. Played the hell out of Perfect Dark on the 64 back in the day. Also played co-op on Resistance 1 & 2 quite a bit. Really had fun with Red Faction #1, and being able to blow up almost everything :D. Never have been much of a Halo guy tho. Why these shooter games? For me so many shooters are the same game over and over, just different skins put on them. A shooter has to have something that really grabs me. Perfect Dark it was the Simulants in multiplier mode. You didn't just have to shoot your friends any more! Resistance was the fun weapons. And Red Faction #1 was the ability to blow up most of the environment.

Back on the PC I have played Sims1 & 3 a lot, SimCity 3000 & 4000, Civ 3,4&5, Sid Meier's Railroads, Railroad Tycoon 3, Age of Empires 2, and Age of Mythology. Again games that I don't know if you can say "Replayed" because for most there isn't really a story line to replay. But many hours spent on all of them.
Also used to be a WoW addict. :p.
As for my Why on the Sims games? I don't really know. I acutally have more fun building the houses and then playing in "Live" mode :p. SimCity, Railroads, & Railroad Tycoon - I like trying to make lost of money :p. Civ, AoE & AoM I like "Command & Conquer" Style games, and like conquering everyone else - which is much harder to do in the Civ games :p.
Wow was because I had a lot of friends playing it, then made new friends. I had loads of fun while playing with all my friends. Now they don't play so much and I got board.....
