WERE?!?? lol... And does it operate normall? AND IS IT free? Will it be better that windows 2k...( just the beta, not the full)

Right now, officially it is only available to IT professionals for testing, not to the public.

There is a site, google it but like Don said only for it pros, so your gonna have to wait like everyone else, but if you feel the need to test, you can pay around 600-800 $$$ and can get the low-end version.

get a msn account and join the MS team you can dwnld all beta
I have win ce win imbedded and vista (longhorn)
for coupla bucs they send dvd or cd to you
darn should read whole post
it is still buggy as hell there will be (I think) 6 versions of it
they put tracking software in it to track your testing
this can be stripped out
runs slow on my test machine 1.6 dothan mobile at 1gb ram
MS needs to make a bigger cash cow every so often
why would they not stick with W2K pro
my W$K does not crash on reg machine work
my xp pro crashed at first ok now

NAh its already lik 60% threw... But How do i run it? CAn i use achohal 120% Beacuse i dont hav a dvd burner

i kno that vistas official system requirements say that for the "basic" edition u dont need a DVD drive but anything above the basic you need a DVD (ie: premium, business, enterprise, ultimate) you can see which version will run on your computer by visiting www.microsoft.com and go the windows vista link then that should lead you somewhere that you can get the upgrade advisor and it will scan your system and give the edition recomended to run on you computers specific hardware and software. it also gives a list of drivers to update so that they will run on vista. and finally if u want to move up to a facier edition, it will tell u what u need to purchase so that it can run its features. for example, i have a Nvidia GEFORCE graphics engine in my computer that only has 96.00 MB of dedicated video memoey and to run windows "aero effects" you need a card that has at leat 128MB memoery (256 or more recomended) so it gave a report that i nedded to upgrade my video card b4 i try and run the "home premium edetion"

i hear istss spustop be up to 4.5 gb, did you use windows dlaod manger?

I use Firefox and it downloaded fine. I still haven't burned the ISO yet but the download was a success..I have an Athlon Mobile 64 and I tried the 64 bit version of XP a while back and it didn't work at all so I am leery about trying the Vista 64bit. I will stick with the 32 bit version and see what happens.

I used IE but I'll try Firefox. I just finished downloading Vista x86 and it was 3.2 gigs.
XP x64 worked perfectly for me once I got the latest drivers installed.
