What is your all time favorite TV show and why?

Runner-up: The Little Rascals with

It's absolutely not impossible to name one. I have approximately 100 TV shows on my bookmarks. But few that came to my mind first is desperate housewives, lost, GoT,, Sherlock, the Middle, oh no, I can't stop..

Most of my favourites are comedy shows that are grossly under-appreciated. Number one, Ricky Gervais' 'Extras' (and Life's too Short). Right up there, Arrested Development. Of course I've also memorized every line in Seinfeld too. If I had to pick drama it would be Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul, although neither have any real re-watchability. I'm into Westworld and Banshee right now.

Most embarrassing? My wife and I used to make a point of being home on-time to watch Melrose Place and Friends back in the days before we were married. At least I never watched Baywatch I guess...

Got a few different ones for each genre...

Animated: Futurama
Adult Animated: Bojack Horseman or Archer, its very close
Live Comedy: Dave Gorman's Modern Life Is Good-Ish
Comedy: So many... The IT Crowd, Toast of London, Father Ted, The Mighty Boosh, I can't choose.
Sitcom: How I Met Your Mother (Yes even despite the ending)
Drama: Suits
Sci-Fi: Firefly or Stranger Things
Fantasy: I really want to say Game of Thrones but even being a megafan that ending wasn't the climax I wanted. May have to review when Amazon's LOTR comes out!
Thriller: Jekyll (BBC with James Nesbitt from mid 2000s) or Man in the High Castle

Honourable Mention: Breaking Bad I love it so much but its not my number 1.

Huh, I've never seen Pushing Daisies top anyone's list. I've only watched the pilot, but may consider watching it again - thanks!

Made by Mutant Enemy Productions:

  • Buffy the Vampire Slayer: I watched several cinema seasons - it was okay.

  • Angel: I only watched a few episodes and didn't like it.

  • Firefly: I enjoyed this a lot and it's one of only two space-themed shows I've ever liked, with the other being Dark Matter. (I'm not a fan of Star Trek and Star Wars.)

  • Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog: Hilarious stuff. Still awaiting a sequel.

  • Dollhouse: I enjoyed this show tremendously. I want it back - even more so than Firefly.

  • Cabin in the Woods: Rated 10/10 by me - one of my favorite 20 movies of all time.

  • The Nevers: Eagerly awaiting this show.

I've seen most or all of the series, and it was entertaining. IIRC they made a movie after the show was cancelled as well. Sort of like a consolation prize.

I've had the hots for Eliza Dushku ever she played "Faith", on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer".

A couple of forums sprang up trying to coax a 3rd (or more season out of "Dollhouse", but alas, to no avail.

I'm a big fan of the show as well, as it gave Ms. Dushku a chance to show her acting chops. She had another series before Dollhouse, which was pretty much a boring stinker called "Tru Calling". (Which doesn't mean I didn't watch it).

I've encountered a lot of resistance about "Dollhouse" being any good through the course of this thread. In fact, you're the only person who's called it a favorite

Fast forward to today, and Ms. Dushku managed to get 10 million dollars from CBS in a claim involving sexual harassment against Michael Weatherly on the set of his current show "Bull".

I'm thinking Weatherly got used to banging Jessica Alba on the set of "Dark Angel", when she was but a teenager, and overstepped himself with Dushku. She (Alba), eventually dumped him, but I digress.

Even if you didn't care for "Angel", you might enjoy a grownup David Boreanaz in, "Seal Team", scheduled for a 3rd season on CBS this fall

1A) Life on Mars\ Ashes to Ashes (BBC Version)
Philip Glenister, John Simm. Gritty, keeps you guessing what's real. Metaphor beautifully executed.
1B) Dollhouse
You either get it...or you don't. apparently most did not.
2) Bloodline- Netflix

Huh? (You're dealing with a cheap a** OTA antenna addict).

I got it. :D I even own both seasons of it. Still wishing for a 3rd season. Oh well, "hope springs eternal", foolish hope, lasts even longer

And that's the 2nd "huh" du jour.

What so moved you to return to the fold? (Unless you've been posting in the tech forums). I'm still here in news looking for the arguments.

I was at the hospital today, and they asked me, "who is your emergency contact"? I told them I was, "a bachelor, an orphan,. an only child, and a sociopath, none of which leads to having one".

Next time they ask, I'm putting you down...:laughing::laughing::laughing:

I know...they will reboot 'Full House', but not Doll House. There is no justice.

Worry not old friend, I have been keeping a list of arguments to provoke and inspire you.:laughing::laughing:

...and for the love of god, get Netflix or something. Although you should get up to speed on the latest memes. I embarrassingly asked a buddy if he wanted to "Netflix and chill" a couple years back. I found out that is a completely different deal.
...although he did make a very good omelet.
