What's the maximum RAM for iMac 21" mid 2011?

Hi,

According to apple specs it should be 16GB.

According to MacTracker: Maximum memory: 32 (actual) 16GB (apple)



what does this mean?

Your iMac can use a max of 32GB of RAM. Apparently, the limit was believed to be 16GB (4x 4GB modules), but was tested to be compatible with up to 32GB (4x 8GB modules) of RAM by third parties.
