Who or what first inspired your love for tech?

On the hardware side: my parents brought home an IBM PC one day (THE pc, not a pc). It just wouldn’t run right. Somewhere I got to taking it apart a few times and fiddling with stuff. Had no clue what I was doing but it worked out. My parents nearly killed me until I plugged it in and turned it on and everything worked. I was a toddler. Guess my parents figured out I had a gift for tinkering and stuck me in every computer this and technology that class and program they could.

Software/programming. I had Tetris in basic. It wasn’t as random as it should have been and wasn’t challenging enough like my Nintendo and game Boy versions. So I fiddled with the code. Then some more. Then some more.

But it was modifying DOOM that really stuck. Hence my handle.
