Why so much hate?

I had 10 Pro.
It constantly dropped the ethernet connection.
Went back to 8.1 Pro & no more ethernet problems. :)
Maybe in another 5 years Microsoft will fix 10 so it is worth installing.

Hi! What did you try to do beside rolling back to 8.1? Here's some things to try.;)
I don't recommend the 3rd party driver program in this link and I suggest getting all your drivers from your manufacture. Drivers that work with W8.1 may not work with W10 and will need to be updated.

Tested all drivers.
Ran troubleshooting on various things.
Googled the problem a lot.
It seems Windows 10 has this dropping of internet connections problem.

Used a Macrium image to restore 8.1 pro.
Still have a 10 pro Macrium image. :)

I figure if I wait a while Microsoft will fix the issue & I will still be able to reinstall 10 pro since I will still have a license for it.
I'm happy with 8.1 pro for now.
No dropped ethernet since reverting.

Hi @DavidBailey I like your reply a lot. I have read several of your posts and I can see that you are a very experienced Windows users. Your attitude about W10 is great, so I don't think you are a W10 hater.;) I'm sure MS will address your issue soon. I wish I could convince all windows users to approach their issues with W10 like you have. I give you 5 kudos for your post.
Here's a great link for others watching this thread. I know you are familiar with this article by Tim Fisher.

Hi @DavidBailey I think I'll start a thread about "Why so much love for Macrium Reflect" See if it gets as much attention as this thread. ROFL!

At a future date when I decide to reinstall 10 pro I can do it easily because of Macrium.
All the needed info is there to automatically activate it.
( I use a Microsoft account. )
Of course, there will be a lot of Windows Updates to get then.
And Windows 10 Pro won't cost me a penny.
I took advantage of the free offer for ease of access users or whatever it's called.
This offer goes away the end of December, 2017.
After I reverted to 8.1 pro I went to my account at Microsoft & saw 10 pro was still listed for me. :)
