ok i tried my mates 4X in my computer. The card worked for about five minutes but then the graphics went all strange and the computer froze. It was a geforce 4 64MB. Was that because i had my S3 video drivers still? The card still works perfectly in his computer. Also the info on the bios screens didnt appear straight away with his card. It sort of rolled down from the top.

if your replacing hardware and not cleaning out the old drivers from the old hardware you can have problems, i would format and reinstall everything fresh, or if you have an extra HD, you can try plugging that in and doing a fresh install with all the correct new drivers, if you do that and still have problems, its a hardware related problem.
