Several months ago I wanted a weather program so I'd know what the temp was in my area. I downloaded & installed this http://www.weather.com/services/desktop.html
& had no problems.
Several months later,I was told it'd give me pop ups & ad ware & such but I had not had that problem at all but I removed it anyhow.
After I removed it, I started getting this
ac1dd209cbcc5e5d1c6e28598e8cbbe8.jpg

everytime I tried updating Spybot S&D. Angry, I removed Spybot. That was a month or so ago.
Then, in this thread https://www.techspot.com/vb/topic168109.html this post https://www.techspot.com/vb/post1080964-63.html I figured I'd download Spybot S&D again. The warning has returned & I googled it but which one is correct?

Any easy:haha: fix?

Hi, first thing I need to ask is when you uninstalled Spybot S&D did you disable TeaTimer in the Task Manager before you uninstalled it?

If not then disable TeaTimer and uninstall it again, also make sure the taskbar icon has gone before uninstalling, if it is still there right click on it and select exit. Then download a fresh copy and reinstall, see if the problem persists.

Do you get any other errors on the system?

If the problem persists uninstall it and use SuperAntiSpyware which is a better program.

When I originally installed Spybot S&D I disabled tea timer. What would it look like in Task Manager?
No other errors I'm asware of. I already have Superantispyware on here along with Avast & Mbam.

In Task Manager it appears as "TeaTimer.exe".

If you are running SAS and Spybot S&D side by side that could be part of the problem. It is not advisable to have any security software of the same type (Anti Virus, Anti Spyware or Firewall) running alongside another similar program as they are both trying to do the same job. This can cause system crashes, reduce system performance and most importantly can reduce your level of security (surprising though it may seem).

First I would completely uninstall Sbybot S&D and see if the problem stops.

If the Malwarebytes you are using is the paid for version and is running alongside Avast I would uninstall one of them also. If it is the Mbam free version then that will not cause any problems.
