Windows Vista Expires in 14 days

Hello Guys! anyone of you have installed the windows Vista RC 1, I have installed that version and now it's saying that it will need an activation in 5 days (I installed 9 days ago) so? I need to purchase a key for a RC? if I don't I'm pretty sure there's no way back to XP, so no options only reformat the HDD? Thx.

You cannot purchase a key for RC 1 it is free software. If you did not get an activation key with the disk/download . You can get more info at windowshelp.microsoft.com. RC1 is good until June 07.
Also, you could probably bring up the activation page and use the phone option, they would activate it directly by phone.

Just activate it. Its a public release so if you downloaded it from microsoft they sent you an email with the key you used during install.

All that needs to be done now is for you to activate it, it doesn't activate right after install on its own, it waits 2 days before trying.
