Windows Vista On Laptop

Hi, First post from me!

I purchased a laptop a few months back just as Vista was launched, I did not want to use vista so I formatted the HD and installed XP.
I then realised that the recovery disk was stored on a partition that I deleted!!

I'm now ready to install Vista on my laptop and have a real copy(OEM) that I purchased from Ebuyer.

The real copy has been installed on my desktop pc and I have used the licence code for that PC.
Can I now use the same CD but use the Vista licence code that I have on the bottom of my acer laptop???

Will it work???

Yeah I think that will work. But the copies of Vista have to be exactly the same, since different versions of Vista will have different license keys AFAIK.

Every DVD of Vista contains every version from Basic to Ultimate.
The product key you give the software decides which version it will install from the universal DVD.
