Windows XP Repair Problem

I followed the guide in Guide and Solved Issues to repair Windows XP from a hanging screen, but when it gets to the install screen and is "Installing Drivers" I get an error message saying "There is no disk in the drive, please insert disk into \Device\Harddisk1\DR2" and my computer freezes. Does anyone know what I should try to do in order to fix this?

More info about your computer would help.

You are describing that the repair fails because the cdrom drive fails. Do you have another drive? Is this a desktop? Is the copy files failing? Is the install operation failing?

Since "Guides & Solved Issues" led you to take this path, what are you judging to be good?

If the repair repeatedly fails at nearly the same point in the repair, memory can have this effect, as well. How many sticks of memory are we dealing with?

Give us an update. Making any more suggestions at this point would not be helpful.

[edit] Disconnect any usb device while performing the repair. DR2 could be refering to a memory card reader [/edit]
