Windows XP wont boot, "volume appears to have one or more problems"

I have a raid O PC with 2 Seagate 60G IDE drives.
The PC is in a continuous boot cycle and wont go further than the safe mode options screen, stalls loading MUP.SYS.

Trying to access the recovery console, i get the stop message "BSOD"
with OX...D1, 8, 7, 0, OXF82C5B7A stop codes.

Also details Fasttrack.sys address at F82C5B7A
Fasttrack.sys is for the Promise raid 20276 controller.

Downloaded latest driver form MSI (motherboard)

Can now get to recovery console but running chkdsk /r returns the message
"The Volume appears to contain one or more unrecoverable problems"

If i try to reinstall windows, it shows the partitions correctly but wont install,
Says it "cant install windows on this computer"

I have run the seagate diagnostic tools and the drives appear to have no problems and are functional.

I'm stuck, what next ??????

Please dont ask if I've backed up, I wouldn't be doing this otherwise.

Can an other HD be mounted to the primary IDE and setup to access files on the raid pair ? if so , how?

Thanks.

Thanks Howard, but no help i'm afraid,
The process of trying to repair or re - install is met with the message that "windows cant be installed on this computer"

any other suggestions,

I`m sorry but no I don`t have any other suggestions.

I`m sure however that someone here at Techspot will come up with something that will help you.
