wireless printing

Hi Techspoters,

Dimension 4100/WIN98SE upstairs and intend purchasing a Dell notebook XPS M170 for downstairs & an AI1 964 printer. I'll be using the notebook downstairs but I want to leave the printer upstairs and perhaps connect it to the Dim4100 (if compatable).

What do I need to do?

All you need is a wireless router that both your desktop and Notebook will be connected to. Then you activate file and printer sharing. On the laptop you then go into add a priter and do a search for all network printers. The one sharing from the desktop should show up. Go through the network set up to install the drivers on the notebook and then you are all set.

Not really the router will just hook all the computer together so you can do the printing and also file sharing if you like.
