WOW internet question

hey guys...i have a question about my internet.. the speed is
DSL Connect Rate (Down/Up) 861 Kbits/sec by 156 Kbits/sec






now this is in my dads room, but i am gettin wireless connection in my room...54MBPS the card im gettin can do...will it enhance the connection so the game will run smoother? lemme kno guys..thanks

No, the 54mbps is the maximum speed at which the wireless network can transfer data, it has nothing to do with internet speed.

If your internet ran at 54mbps (54,000 kbps) you would be paying hundreds if not thousands of dollars per month for it.

Also, games lag because of the internet being slow, but having a faster connection doesn't make them smoother. When the lag is internet related, usually the framerate doesn't drop, it's just that other people stop moving, and depending on the game, you find yourself unable to move sometimes.

If the framerate is low, it means your computer isn't good enough to play the game, and you should reduce the quality settings to get a better framerate.
