Already did the WinDbg... points to cmdguard.sys

I have noticed other threads where Comodo 3.5 generated this error.
Solution was to go back to 3.0 (?)

In my case...
A Gateway (older) 4525gz laptop.
Recent reinstall of OS, including updates etc to SP3.
Very few additional programs
No conflicts or crashes, until today.

At the time of the crash I was running Firefox (Mozilla) 3.5.1 (the latest update, including the patch for the JS issue)
And among my plug ins, I have one called Scorch, used for Sibelius Music Scores.
It is, I believe, the only one being used at the time of the crash.

This is a one time event so far; I have not been able to duplicate it.

At this point I am monitoring, and I am considering jumping ship from Comodo
to Online Armor, (per recommendations of Route44)
or to Sunbelt (per recommendation of JoeBeard).
Will advise of any new developments.

What does the Comodo forums have to say about this driver and ensuing error? It has been awhile since Comodo has shown uphere; then again I certainly haven't had the time to read every post! :)

Do you think it might have to do with the upgrade of Firefox to their latest 3.5 version might be in the mix here?

Thanks, Bookwyrm and Route44. Bookwyrm, before you jump ship, you may have more success if you upgrade to Comodo 3.10. If I read your post correctly, you are using Comodo Firewall. Please be aware that Comodo now offers an antivirus and firewall software suite, Comodo Internet Security. When you click to download Comodo Internet Security, you will have the choice of downloading either the antivirus or the firewall, or both.

I have requested that the version here at Techspot be updated to 3.10. I hope that will be ready by tomorrow. If you're in a hurry, will you please look at the Comodo site?

Thanks again, and good luck,
Your friends at Comodo

I am still monitoring, and the issue has not happened again.
I have been using Mozilla/ Firefox exclusively since the event.
I have not had reason to call on the Scorch "plug-in".
At this time, I am wondering if the plug-in was the issue.
I have not yet tried to update Comodo.
As fpr the CIS vs Firewall only... I did try CIS, but for purely subjective reasons, I had elected to go back to Avira for my AV.
I will post again, when/if I get another BSOD.
Thanks KComodo, and Route44.
