YouTube can now delete accounts that aren't "commercially viable"

This is not what you think it is. (foil hat donned). Jeff Bezos now owns and charges for passage on a majority percentage of the internet.

The 'cloud' movement makes data movement through Bezos servers mandatory.

When 'content' without significant advertising draw moves through Bezos servers, there is a direct loss to revenue for Alphabet/Google.

Trimming off that content represents no loss of popularity for Youtube yet still increases revenue by default.

(Why the tin hat? Oh, this was 'discovered' by an AI accounting engine model being pointed at profit margins and instructed to 'improve')
