Fun Fact. The opposite of the word "woke" is asleep. Ironic, since those who use the word such as seen here are from people that seem to be sleeping their way through life.

I never understood the usage myself. It seemed to be used as a way to discredit people. In my mind what is so bad about being woke. I see it as being awake and aware. Doesn't make since to define it differently. Since there is obvious confusion. I choose not to use the word at all.

I never thought about it before, but your first line may be the problem with them. Maybe they don't even understand what they are trying to discredit.
I'm like you. I can't see a single issue with trying to point out the inconsistencies in criminal justice, treatment of minorities or the lower income brackets.
