Sony is due to ship an updated version of its Vaio U-series tiny PC next month, with several upgrades on the way for the product. The CPU, for instance, has been upgraded from 130nm 1GHz CPU to a nice 90nm 1.1GHz Pentium M 733. L2 cache has been doubled, and the hard drive has been upgraded from 20GB to 30GB. However, no change on the RAM front, where the product still has 512MB, a once impressive figure but now getting a little past it. The unit measures 16.7 x 10.8 x 2.6cm, weighs just 550g, and has an 800 x 600 transflective colour LCD screen.
