Good news came for computer maker Gateway today: Microsoft will be paying the firm $150m. The payout is part of a settlement over legal action brought against Microsoft as a result of the US anti-trust case of the mid-90s, where it emerged that Gateway was paying too much for Microsoft products. The windfall is most welcomed by Gateway, who have been ailing for some time now. Microsoft will make the payments over the next four years.
