Seemingly always in the news these days (although, often not for something good) Google is being sued over allegations that it overcharged advertisers who use the Web search giant's paid search advertising program. Google is accused of charging in excess of advertisers' daily budgets, under which Google allows an advertiser to limit how much it spends each day. Google said the allegations have no merit.

"The claims are without merit and we will defend against [them] vigorously," said Google spokesman Steve Langdon.
