Adobe has issued warnings concerning a buffer overflow vulnerability in various versions of its popular Acrobat and Reader software packages, and has made updates available to deal with the problems. The flaw, which stems from an unspecified boundary error in the core application plug-in, could allow an attacker to inject hostile code into vulnerable systems. Security clearing house Secunia describes the software flaw as critical.
