Microsoft yesterday released the first service pack for SQL Server 2005. The company claims that quick adoption by customers and feedback from partners has made it possible for this update to happen only five months after the new database software was released. This new service pack adds many new features, including database-mirroring functionality, a new management tool and enhanced reporting with support for SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence.
