In more fantastic spam news today, online ad network ValueClick has agreed to pay $2.9 million to settle a case brought against them for violations of the CAN-SPAM act, the largest since the law was enacted in 2003. This was indirectly brought upon ValueClick through a satellite company of theirs called Hi-Speed Media. Under the terms of the settlement, the company will also be required to have their security practices monitored for a full two decades, due to privacy concerns.
