AMD just issued its monthly update to their Catalyst software suite for users of Radeon graphics cards, bringing the package up to version 8.4. Besides introducing a handful of fixes in Company of Heroes, Crysis, Doom 3, Hellgate London, Lost Planet, Tabula Rasa, and Tomb Raider Anniversary, this new release introduces support for Stanford University's new beta Folding@Home GPU client, for the ATI Radeon HD 2000 Series, and ATI Radeon HD 3000 Series graphics cards.

AMD has also made a Catalyst 8.4 release available for Linux 32bit and Linux 64bit, adding support for Radeon HD 3800, 3600, and 3400 graphics cards (except for the 3870 X2).
