As expected, Opera Software has finally announced public availability of the next version of Opera Mobile for Windows-based smartphones and portable devices. The 9.5 release is still in beta, but will give users the chance to take a sneak peak at the purportedly faster and more user friendly mobile browser.

Opera Mobile 9.5 beta now defaults to page overview mode, allowing users to view the entire web page, with panning and zooming options to focus on specific page content. Other nice touches include the ability to save pages and images, improved standards support, and support for the cross-platform debugging tool nicknamed Opera Dragonfly. You can read more about it on the press release or check out a full hands-on review here.
