Apple is reportedly set to revitalize digital albums next month with a new application that'll deliver lyrics, artwork, behind-the-music photos and other bonus content. According to Music Week, the new app is being launched in collaboration with Snow Patrol's latest album, A Hundred Million Suns, but several other albums could follow in the coming months.

It's unclear, however, if the company will catalog media from various artists into a single extras application or distribute separate apps with each album. In any case, this might bring digital music another step closer to completely replacing CDs.
