The world of solid state drives got a little more crowded today with Super Talent announcing two new high end lineups - the UltraDrive ME and UltraDrive LE. The first will target home users offering maximum sequential read and write speeds of 200MB/s and 160MB/s, respectively. These MLC-based drives will come in 32GB, 64GB, 128GB and 256GB capacities with a 2-year warranty and should be priced from $130 to $645.

The quicker UltraDrive LE series will be aimed squarely at the enterprise market, with a maximum sequential read speed of 230MB/s and a maximum sequential write speed of 170MB/s. There's no mention of prices for these drives but they will be available in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB capacities with a 3-year warranty. Both series connect via SATA-II and are designed for notebook computers or other applications requiring 2.5-inch drives. More performance stats are available directly from Super Talent (PDF file), including comparison charts with an Intel X25-M solid state drive and a 7,200 RPM hard disk drive from Seagate.
